Finalized during the Obama administration, the Clean Power Plan sets limits on carbon emissions from power plants that pollute our air and water, and encourages investment in clean energy.
By 2030, the Clean Power Plan could prevent up to 4,500 premature deaths, 1,700 heart attacks, 90,000 asthma attacks, and 300,000 missed days of work or school a year.
But now that the EPA is under President Trump, the agency has decided it wants to repeal the plan.
If we repeal the Clean Power Plan, we're saying we're okay with more sick kids, more expensive hospital visits, and thousands of premature deaths that could have been prevented.
Tell the Trump administration to protect the Clean Power Plan, and stop poisoning our air and water.
