All eligible voters in New Hampshire can request to vote absentee by mail due to concerns over COVID-19.
Follow the steps below to make sure that your vote counts:
Step 1: Request your ballot NOW!
Step 2: Submit the completed Absentee Ballot Request Application to your town or city clerk’s office by mail, email, fax, or in-person. Find your town clerk’s office
Step 3: Check your mail for your official ballot. Track your absentee ballot request. Your ballot usually arrives about 30 days before the election.
Step 4: Vote! Fill out your ballot from home. Follow the instructions and don’t forget to sign the envelope.
Step 5: Return your ballot! Make sure it arrives at your town or city clerk’s office before election day. You can send it in the mail or drop it off in person.
If you are within seven business days of Election Day, it will be better to return your ballot in person to your town clerk rather than by mail.
Step 6: Track your ballot to make sure your town clerk received it.
