Far-right zealots in Congress are working overtime to silence nonprofits and destroy political discourse as we know it.

The Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act would allow the Secretary of the Treasury Department unilateral authority to declare ANY nonprofit organization a “terrorist supporting organization.”

This label would cost the nonprofit its tax-exempt status and effectively silence any opposition to the far-right.
