ICYMI: The Hill: Senate rejects climate change education measure

Today, the U.S. Senate rejected an amendment to establish a competitive grant program that would provide funds to states for climate change education programs that would give our kids with the most accurate information about the the greatest challenge of our time. Not only have Senate Republicans consistently stood in the way of common sense solutions that would protect against the devastating impacts of climate change, but now politicians are denying our kids the tools and skills to tackle this issue head-on and help make them competitive for the clean energy jobs of the future. The fact is our kids will pay the price if we fail to lead on solving this issue. The time for inaction and obfuscation is over. Our leaders must embrace solutions that will ensure our kids are ready to thrive in the clean energy economy of the 21st century.
