NextGen Climate will live stream two Puppies at the Polls events in battleground states to get out the vote. On college campuses in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania, NextGen Climate will live stream the puppies on Facebook allowing everyone to join in on the fun through social media. Each puppy live stream will last for 2 hours. The first get out the vote event will be in New Hampshire at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, and the second will be in Pennsylvania at Bryn Mawr College.
“We want to make sure every young voter makes it to the polls today, so we’ve enlisted our most loyal companions to help during this historic Election Day,” said NextGen Climate National Puppy Coordinator Nick Ellis. “We are confident that our canine counterparts will help us to turn out young voters for climate champions like Hillary Clinton, Maggie Hassan and Katie McGinty.”
Puppies at the Polls has been a successful way to make sure young people get to the polls in battleground states in the last few days. In some states, NextGen Climate has expanded its animal team to include sloths, kangaroos, and penguins. NextGen Climate is running the largest campus outreach program in the country, engaging millennials on 300 campuses in 13 battleground states.
