Today, in signing SB 185, Governor Brown has once again reaffirmed California’s commitment to tackling climate change on every front. This measure to divest from coal aligns the nation’s largest public pension funds with the state’s concerted efforts to reduce carbon pollution and puts protecting clean air for our kids firmly ahead of  fossil fuel companies’ bottom-lines. I applaud Governor Brown and Senate President pro Tempore De León for their leadership, as California takes another step towards our clean energy future.
