Young Voters Respond to Biden Administration Launching Climate Corps Jobs Site

In response to the Biden Administration launching a website for applications for the Climate Corps jobs and training program, NextGen America President Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez released the following statement:

“Climate justice is a central issue to young people and today’s launch of the Climate Corps job website is a great step towards building a better, cleaner future for all of us. Young voters elected Joe Biden because he pledged to take meaningful, substantive action to combat the climate crisis. This initiative speaks to the Biden Administration’s dedication to that promise and serves as a reminder that this action is a direct result of young people’s persistent advocacy for action and change.

“The Climate Corps will not only help protect the planet, but will provide good-paying jobs in the sustainability sector that benefit working-class Americans. As we draw closer to Election Day, young people will continue to advocate for additional climate action from our federal and local leaders to ensure we build a planet and economy for us all to live, work, and thrive in our communities.”
